How to look slim in your wedding pictures

Wedding Photo Tips

Ideas that click and add Inspiration! First step would be to start off with the right style wedding dress. A-line silhouette is the most popular because it flatters all body types, also a good silhouette for bridesmaids dresses. Trumpet and mermaid silhouettes shows off your curves, it hugs the lower body. So it depends on what you want to hide, and what you want to show off. For your wedding pics, to brighten up tired eyes, line your lower lid with white eyeliner. I do this quite often, it really does make a difference. Also it's not wise to try new facial products the days before your photos, if your skin doesn't react well to a new product, it will take a couple of days to clear up. So go with what you know works, better safe than sorry. Exfoliating your face to remove dead skin, brightens and refreshes your face. Try it today, or tonight before bed, and please please, don't forget to moisturize. Now for your body. This trick really works, not pressing your arms against your body will make them appear smaller on camera. Even if they are near your body, lift them slightly, just enough so your not like pressing them against your body. Posture, if you take note, you see celebrities doing this all the time in photos and red carpets. Putting one foot in front of the other and shifting body weight. Take some practice shots with your camera, in different poses and see which poses you like best. Conture with makeup. You can narrow the nose, brighten under eye circles and more. Practice makes perfect with this.

Also as a licensed cosmetologist, I'm asking you, when it comes to your hair stylist and makeup artist, please don't choose anyone new, without doing what I call a test run. How their work will look on you. It doesn't matter if your friend loved it for her wedding, you have different hair and a stylist needs to know YOUR hair. You don't need any extra surprises on your wedding day. Same goes for arching eyebrows, of course you can always pencil it in, but why even have to worry about something else. Another celebrity secret, Vaseline on teeth, thin layer of course, when you smile, you will smile easily and smooth, without getting your lips stuck on your top teeth, try it at home first you will see what I'm talking about. Until next time stay fabulous, which all my princess brides love to do anyways

Since I do destination weddings, this is what I recommend.

Have your hair and make up done by local people that you trust. Then take photos. When you get here, have a trial run. Most of our people can recreate, but you want to make sure. After all, this is the most important day for make up and hair.

Sure don't want any hair raising surprises!

Also, if your wedding is outside please consider an up-do. (Hair has a habit of blowing at exactly the wrong time and in exactly the wrong place!)

Peace, sunsets and aloha from Maui!

This article is great but I would also add that hiring an experienced photographer will have a positive influence with how your look in your wedding photos.

Cheers from Toronto!
